2023 Summer Recap
What a great summer, right Blues? Chelsea made some transfer moves, picked up a trophy, San Antonio Blues members were all over the place, and we look ahead to the first match of the Premier League season.
The Transfer Window (and other moves)
Chelsea has had a very, very busy transfer window this summer! Granted, the window doesn't close for another month, and there's still a lot of rumors out there (Mbappé anyone?) but here's the story so far:
In: Nicolas Jackson, Lesley Ugochukwu, Alex Matos, Angelo, Diego Moreira, Christopher Nkunku, Kendry Paez, Levi Colwill, Ian Maatsen, Cesare Casadei, and Lewis Hall.
Out: Christian Pulisic, Tiemoué Bakayoko, Kai Havertz, N’Golo Kante, Kalidou Koulibaly, Mateo Kovacic, Ruben Loftus-Cheek, Edouard Mendy, Ethan Ampadu, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Abdul Rahman Baba, and David Fofana.
Chelsea also said goodbye to César Azpilicueta, in a video that makes me say "I'm not crying, you're crying. Shut up!" Go ahead, watch it again, it's ok to cry.
Mason Mount also said goodbye, from a bus station bathroom in Manchester... allegedly.

USA Summer Tour
Chelsea has done extremely well in their USA Summer Tour, and frankly restored a little hope among some San Antonio Blues faithful gathered at the London Pub after the club was lost in the Potterverse last season. While we have one more Summer match to go in Chicago tonight, we've already claimed a nice little piece of tin for our efforts:
The best part: several San Antonio Blues members made some special trips to see Summer Series matches, and connect and share the love with other local Supporters Clubs.
A New Season
Yes, it's been an extremely hot summer. HOWEVER, the London Pub is happy to serve San Antonio Blues members some delicious cold beverages to beat the heat.
