Chelsea FC and the Infinite Athletes
A little match recap, a little injury update, and a new shirt sponsor!
Apologies for the delay in between these emails, I was doing a little traveling...
Chelsea News
There's been quite a lot since we last sent an update. Most recently: victories! Goals! A shirt sponsor!
Match Result: Fulham 0 - Chelsea 2
Victory against Fulham felt so good. Two goals in one match? Yep! - Murdryk scored his first goal as a Blue and Broja came back from injury to secure the win, both goals coming within a minute of each other in the first half. Unfortunately Murdryk had to leave the match with an injury, more on that later. Highlights here:
We also advanced in the Carabao Cup, winning against Brighton 1-0 thanks to a goal from Nicolas Jackson.
Injury Update
Mykhailo Mudryk, Moises Caicedo, Trevoh Chalobah, and Carney Chukwuemeka are all expected to be available to play against Burnley this weekend.
Chelsea had Reece James on their Instagram as the captain was back in training, but he is not expected to return to matches until later this month.
Ben Chilwell tweaked his hamstring, he's out until December.
Christopher Nkunku and Wesley Fofana have more extensive injuries and will be out until 2024.
New Shirt Sponsor: Infinite Athlete
If you didn't get a 2023/24 kit before now, you're getting one with our new sponsor on the front: Infinite Athlete. What a saga that was. UK telecom company Three wanted no part of us when Roman and the club were under sanctions. Hyundai also left as a sleeve sponsor. Since the club was sold the Blues have been working on potential deals with Paramount+, Stake, and Riyadh Air. The Blues started the season with no shirt sponsor deal in place. Finally, the deal was announced with Infinite Athlete, a sports technology company.
San Antonio Blues News
The San Antonio Blues will be back at London Pub bright and early (but not too early) at 9AM on October 7th for the match against Burnley. Share it on socials! Get to the Pub! Bring a friend!
